Bob Leonard

1937 – 2020

With saddened hearts we announce the passing of Bob Leonard on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the age of 83. Bob passed away in the loving arms of his wife Kathy and granddaughter Kassidy.

Bob was born in Calgary on May 3, 1937. He received his early schooling in Lethbridge and graduated from Pillsbury Military Academy in Owatonna, Minnesota. He worked at the Leonard Tire Mart, Mountview Dodge, and College Ford. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and St. Augustine’s Anglican Church.

Family was the most important to Bob. He felt he was the luckiest man in the world to be married to Kathy. Bob was loyal, kindhearted, generous and would do anything for his children. His favorite role was being “Pa” to his grandchildren whom he was so proud of. He was an avid sports fan always cheering on the Chicago Cubs, a great reader, loved history, music and watching movies with his neighbor Wilf.

Besides his loving wife of 60 years, Bob is survived by his daughter Carrie Leonard (Glenn) and his son Scott Leonard, grandchildren Ashely, Kassidy and Jamie, his sister Marilyn (Barry) Cole, sisters-in-law Marge Leonard, Patricia Richardson, and Shirley (Irv) Hinds. Bob also leaves many cousins that were special to him. Bonnie and Joe Nemeth and Ken Sales were especially close to him.

Bob was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Mary and his brother Roy.

We would like to thank the PARP and LTC Teams at St. Mike’s for their special care of Bob over the last months.

A private Celebration of Life will be held for family at a later date.
