KRUEGER

DIETHELM “DICK” KRUEGER of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Trudy Krueger, passed away at Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the age of 83 years.

Dick is survived by his loving children, Daniel Krueger (Nina Ford) and Michael Krueger (Liz Toles), both of Lethbridge, as well as his brother, Hilmar Krueger of Lethbridge. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Taya, Jayda, Tyson, Cadence, Lauren, Peyton and Zach.

He was predeceased by his wife, Gertrude “Trudy” Krueger.

Born November 9, 1936 in Westpreuzen, Poland to Gustav & Frieda, he immigrated to Canada as a young man and met the love of his life, Gertrude, in Lethbridge, AB

He started working at Canadian Linen then moved on to the Lethbridge Regional Hospital and was a laundry worker there until he retired at age 55.

He spent his many years of retirement enjoying hobbies such as biking, collecting bottles, visiting with neighbours and walks with his beloved dog Toby. He was a kind and gentle soul and never missed an opportunity to brighten someone else’s day. He loved interacting and connecting with the community and was an active member of the LSCO lunch programs. He especially loved spending time with his sons, Danny and Mike, and his seven grandchildren.

He loved coaching his boys soccer teams and also watching soccer on TV. He loved a cold beer and never missed an opportunity to play his favorite lotto numbers. Dick was a man of routine in his later years and he loved walking to the corner store, bike rides and family get-togethers. He ended every conversation with his boys with an “I Love You” and will be truly missed by all who knew him.
