Brenda was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan on September 24, 1958 and was the eldest child to Shirley and Ray Ellis. After moving to Lethbridge in 1969, Brenda attended school in Lethbridge; then, after graduating from Winston Churchill High School she began her career in Calgary taking Management and Administrative training.

Brenda’s career spanned 35 years providing customer service working at Dr. Chilton’s office, City of Calgary Police Service, Attorney General, Sheriff’s Office and a 14 year fulfilling career at Canadian Airlines. Brenda loved to travel and took advantage of flight passes which enabled her to fly “home” from Calgary regularly to visit family.

Life-long friends were made at work, and together they shared travel to many tropical resorts, and cruised to Alaska.

Brenda dearly loved her kitty Sarah, they were inseparable. Brenda was heartbroken when Sarah passed on, after 18 years together. She had a big heart for animals large and small.

Brenda loved to visit with family and friends, spending as much time as possible with her nephew and niece when they were young doing crafts, playing games and having a fun time together. Brenda also enjoyed swimming, camping and fishing.

Brenda was pre-deceased by her parents Shirley and Ray Ellis; grandparents Annie and George Polivka, Isabelle and Earl Ellis; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memories of Brenda will be treasured in our hearts forever. She was kind hearted, brave and generous, and will be missed by all those who knew her.
