Miss Jolene Oudshoorn of Picture Butte, beloved daughter of Harry and Christina Oudshoorn, passed away tragically on Monday, October 19, 2020 at the age of 18 years.
Besides her parents, Jolene is survived by her loving brothers and sisters: Darren and Jessica Oudshoorn (Logan), Sarah and Rylan Dekok (Ainsley, Abigail and Chad), Daniel, Leanne, Michael, Braeden, Kayla; her dear boyfriend Willem Neels; Opa Barend den Hertog; Opa and Oma Harry and Ena Oudshoorn. Left to mourn her passing are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers.
Jolene was pre-deceased by her Oma Jennie den Hertog; uncles Bert den Hertog, Evert den Hertog and Jan Christiaan den Hertog.
Jolene graduated from Calvin Christian School in June 2020. She was employed as a health care aide at the Bethesda Care Home and also worked at DeVry Greenhouses in Picture Butte.
Family and friends are invited to offer their condolences which will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020, D.V. at the Netherlands Reformed Congregation of Picture Butte. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, we ask those who wish to offer their condolences in person to text Darren at 403-332-0711 to schedule a time slot.
A Private Funeral will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 23 by invite only at the Netherlands Reformed Congregation of Picture Butte with Reverend E.C Adams officiating. The service will be live streamed at https://www.nrcpicturebutte.ca.
Flowers are gratefully declined; memorial donations can be made to the Bethesda Care Home, 701 – 3A Street South, Picture Butte, Alberta T0K 1V0.
Interment will follow in the Picture Butte Memorial Cemetery.
