One Condolence for “JACOBSON, Harriett”

  1. Judy Grant says:

Please accept my heart felt condolences. I hope you don’t mind me sharing a story. I visited Harriett and your Dad as their Home Care nurse. Harriette and I became friends and we visited out of business hours, too. We shared the love of quilting. She gave me a pattern for a quilted Christmas runner. I have made it for my family but also for my Mum who loved it so much she kept it out all year. My daughter requested it when Mum died. This year our church has been extending it’s outreach to people in need. Early in COVID I made and donated two children’s quilts. They were given to a young, single mum with three girls who had been struggling in many ways. She reacted the way all quilters wish for. She felt the love put into those quilts and felt really blessed. Because of that reaction I made her one of the Christmas runners in blues, whites, greys and silver stars. Apparently she again was over whelmed and felt the love intended. I’m sure your Mum put her love into the quilts that she gifted. I will always think of her when I get my runner out for Christmas. I will tell the story of how I got the pattern to the young woman. Wishing you all peace and love at this sad time.
