It is with such sorrow to announce the passing of JOYE REBECCA JEAN NEWMAN (née Thomas), of Bournemouth, England, beloved wife of Bruce St. Clair Newman (May 28, 1927 – September 20, 2003), of Manchester, Jamaica.
Joye came to Canada with her family on October 26, 1952. She is survived by her three children: Susan Patricia, Michael Robin (Marcia), and Robert Bruce (Sherry) as well as her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In honour of Joye’s requests, she will be cremated. There will be no formal service.
A private memorial celebrating Joye and Bruce will be held at a designated time and place in 2021 as per their wishes.
