BACZUK, DavidPosted: March 5th, 2021
DAVID TROY BACZUK passed away in Calgary March 1, 2021 at the age of 55. He will be missed by his parents Louie and Sandra Baczuk, siblings Mark (Deb), Michelle (Kevin), Robin (Luke), Steven, and Cajsa (Dan). And his nieces and nephews, whom he adored without measure: Miranda, Ben, Josh, Shelby, Colten, Nic, Trenton, Liam, Liev, and Ava.
Troy had been able to fill in some of his family tree and was overjoyed to connect with his birth family. He welcomed them into his life and had a wonderful loving relationship with them. He will be missed by Rhonda Gwin, his birth mother and his siblings David Gwin (deceased) and his sister Kelly Gwin-Durocher.
Troy was most happy 30,000 feet above the ground. He worked most of his life in the airline industry. He made many lifelong friends. And if you’ve ever worked with him you understand…
“I’m not like other flight attendants…I will hit you”
If you ever needed anything done, Troy was first in line to help. He loved good food; and prepping for family dinners was his specialty. But don’t ever leave him alone in the kitchen…he loved to spice things up!
Waterton had a very special place in Troy’s heart as a retreat and an oasis of peace. He would park his trailer, smell the mountain air and read endless books. He loved a roaring campfire and the simplicity of a meal cooked over an open flame.
If you’ve ever received one of his rib crushing hugs, you knew you were loved unconditionally. He loved with all his heart. All his family and friends knew that. Troy, we love you. We would give anything for just one more of those hugs.
