SLEIGHTHOLM

The family of Bill (William) Sleightholm wish to announce his passing on May 30th, 2021. Bill was born on December 28th, 1951. He grew up in Lethbridge where he began his love of guitar and live music. He enjoyed performing solo and with many bands throughout his life. He spent most of his life living in his favourite place, the East Kootenays. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Bill was a Master Electrician who spent most of his career working on large industrial projects throughout Western Canada and the United States and was a proud member of the IBEW for 42 years. Bill enjoyed travelling and visited 16 different countries. Helping those in need along the way. Upon his retirement, Bill enjoyed growing prolific fruits and vegetables in his garden, fishing in his boat and having fun with his family.

Bill will be dearly missed by his loving Wife Lien, children Dallas, Carly, Billie and Bernice. Mother Shirley and Sisters Gail (Harvey) Nikkel and Peggy (Ron) Mckitrick.

Bill was predeceased by his Father Bill (William) Sleightholm and his Sister Leslie Hagan.

    I worked with Bill in the early C & Apprenticed under him for my Boom-Truck ticket. We socialized & he was Talented at Guitar & Vocals. He was’ Friend & I’ll Miss Him’
