1929 – 2021

Yvonne Marie Jean Phillips (Nadeau) beloved wife of the late Ken Phillips passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on July 14th, 2021.

Yvonne was born on July 12, 1929 where she grew up on the family farm in Val Marie, Sask. She moved to Lethbridge when she was 20 years old and worked at Eaton’s Department Store as a switch board operator for many years. She loved to play accordion, organ and sing with her brothers and sister in a band called the Nadeau Orchestra in and around the Lethbridge area.

Yvonne also performed in local venues with various orchestras throughout her musical career. She was an avid fan of horse racing and enjoyed going to the casino and playing crib.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Ida Nadeau, special cousin Fernand (Lillian), nieces and nephews, Conrad (Melanie), Georgette (Gerrit), Derald, Ronald (Elaine), Alice (Brian), Yvette, Doreen (Jim), Edna, Armand, and Helen (Bill). She is also survived by stepdaughters, Heather (David), Linda (Guy), Laura, Shirley, Catharine, Melaney (Laurie).

She was predeceased by four brothers, Roy, Marcel, Noel, Fidele, three sisters, Beatrice, Alice, Lillian, nephew Larry, and her parents Roseanna and Joseph Nadeau.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Our Lady Of The Assumption Catholic Church, 2405-12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta with Father Kevin Tumback, celebrant.

Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
