William “Bill” Walton

1941 – 2021

William Lewis Walton of Nobleford, Alberta, beloved husband of Karen Briget Walton, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2021, at the age of 79 years.

William “Bill” Walton was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta by loving parents Margaret and George Walton. With only grade 10 education, Bill became a Red Seal Refrigeration Mechanic.

Besides his obvious love for his wife Karen, daughter Christine and son Shawn, Bill loved trains and motorcycles. When Bill was not working on his trains, he and Karen went on numerous rides with the UMCI motorcycle club.

Once Bill retired with his loving wife in Nobleford, Alberta, Bill took up woodworking. If anyone has been to Nobleford you know the yard with the wooden train (you can find on Google maps), which he proudly built for his grandson Kristian. Bill moved onto scroll working and if you were lucky, a Christmas ornament that he made would mysteriously show up in random places in your home.

Besides his loving wife Karen Walton, Bill is survived by his daughter Christine (Garry); son Shawn (Laura); grandson Kristian and sister Lynn, as well as a niece and their families.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 pm, on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY, 1605 100 St SE, Calgary, Alberta.
