1949 – 2021

Ms. Gloria Schraeder of Lethbridge, formerly of Fort Smith, N.W.T., beloved mother of Rebecca Harris; grandmother of Quinn Mckinnon and mother-in-law of Kyle Harris, passed away peacefully and suddenly at Golden Acres Lodge in Lethbridge on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the age of 72 years.

Gloria was born and raised in Unity, Saskatchewan, she stayed there until she took a job up in Fort Smith, N.W.T., there is where she spent the next part of her life raising her only daughter. After working for over 35 years for the Government of the N.W.T., she retired and moved to Lethbridge, AB, where her daughter currently resides. She lived out the remainder of her years, loving her family. She enjoyed cooking, bingo, and all things Christmas.

Besides her loving daughter, son-in-law and grandson, Gloria is survived by her sister Darlene Riess (Alvin) of Unity, Saskatchewan; brother Kenneth Schraeder of Airdrie, AB.

She was predeceased by her mother and father, Katherine and Peter Schraeder of Unity, Sask.

A private family Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date.

    so sorry to hear of gloria passing….i guess that is why i couldnt reach her…when i lived in lethbridge we always had fun at bingoes…going to movies….and especially yard saling….thats how we got to know lethbridge….did yard sales every weekend….we also got together every week to play games….rummyo or cards….usually on friday….i met daughter and grandaughter whom she adored. showed me the stones her granddaughter and her had painted and put in garden….
    i had worked on the same floor as gloria in ft smith…years ago…acquaintances….but when i moved to lethbtidge i worked at casino and she recognized me….so we became buds….
