Elva Kenyon

1940 – 2022

Elva Kenyon of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Bill Kenyon, passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with pancreatic cancer, at St. Michaels on July 30, 2022, at the age of 82 years.

Elva was born in Edmonton on February 9, 1940. She graduated from Thorsby High School in 1957 and received her Bachelor of Education from U of A.

She met Bill Kenyon in 1960 and they were married in December 1961. They had two sons Carry & Todd. She was a substitute teacher while the boys were growing up and enjoyed teaching. They lived in Rimbey, Whitecourt, Claresholm, Barrhead and Lethbridge.

She spent countless hours volunteering after Bill retired. They spent winters with Ywam in Kona, Arkansas, New Zealand, and Mercy ships in Texas for 20 years.

She enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother but the most important thing in her life was her relationship and walk with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved serving people and made many friends wherever she went.

Besides her loving husband Bill, Elva is survived by her two sons Carey & Todd; two grandchildren, Quinn & Ellis; And her sister Ollie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

We will miss her dearly but are grateful that she is finally home.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2022, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4 ST S, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Dwayne Dibben officiating.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the charity of their choice.
