1922 – 2022
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ethel Wong beloved wife of the late James Wong in Lethbridge Ab. On Sunday July 24th 2022 at the age of 100 years.
Ethel is survived by daughters, June Whittick, Pat Joyce, (Paul), sons, Robert Wong (Carolyne), William Wong (Elizabeth), Kenneth Wong, Dexter Chine and numerous grand children, great grand children, nieces and nephews lasting 4 generations.
Ethel spent many years with husband James working hard in the restaurant business including the Shangri-la café, Delmar Coffee Shop and The House of Wong. Ethel was an excellent cook herself excelling in many Hungarian dishes and desserts.
During their time together Ethel and James especially enjoyed many interesting trips to Hong Kong, mainland China and Hawaii.
We would like to extend a special thanks for all the loving care given by the amazing staff at the Good Samaritans Society West Highlands and to Dr. Mark Cahill at the Family Medical Center.
In keeping with Ethel’s wishes, a private family service was held at Mountain View Cemetery.
