MERRICK, Joanne

MERRICK Sunrise: October 4, 1965 Sunset: June 27, 2023 This comes with profound sadness to announce the passing of JOANNE EVANGELINE MERRICK. She leaves behind her 4 sisters Marie, Angela, Sandi, and Charlene, and one brother Ernest, her 3 daughters Twila-Dawn, Shantel, and Malori, also her 7 grandchildren Nadilie, Romeo, Sunshine, Jada, Asher, Destiny, and Tay-lynn, plus one great-granddaughter Neveah. She is predeceased by her husband Louis Merrick, her mother Mary Villebrun, her father Earnest Villebrun, and her sister Tammy Newman. Even though she was married she leaves behind her lifelong best friend and partner in crime Ricky Giroux.
Inside and outside Joanne radiated true beauty, she had a giving heart that she would take the shoes off her feet and coat off her back to help someone in need. She was what you would call the modern-day female Robin Hood. Joanne loved to sing and dance to all kinds of music, especially Cher and Shania Twain. Joanne was a wonderful mother, and she loved all her children and grandchildren with her whole heart. She was always spoiling them with whatever she could. Joanne will be missed by many whom she called family.
On Monday July 10th she will be having 2 small services, one starting at 6:30pm and one at 7:30pm as there is sadly conflict in the family. The service is located at LETHBRIDGE CHRISTIAN TABERNACLE – 1805 9th Ave North Lethbridge, Alberta.
