MURILLO, Elizabeth

Posted: September 13th, 2023

MURILLO Elizabeth Ann (Pisko) Murillo (1928 – 2023) Betty passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus as her 94th year neared completion.
Betty was born in Lethbridge on Saturday, September 23rd, 1928 to John H. Pisko and Elizabeth (Seaman) Pisko. Raised in Lethbridge, Betty met her future husband while working for her brother, John Pisko, at Pisko Jewelery in downtown Lethbridge. Angel (Angi) Murillo stole her heart and they were married for 54 years.
Betty was an avid fisherwoman, spending many summers, with Angi and the dogs, fishing at Duck Lake. Travelling in the U.S. A. and gardening were additional pleasures for Betty. She had to check out unique jewelery on these travels and Angi added to his ever expanding buckle collection. Her flowers brought her joy and satisfaction.
The last five years, after the passing of Angi, Betty enjoyed Saturday outings to the Casino and Sunday visits with her special “adopted” family. A quiet pleasure she enjoyed was reading while surrounded by her feline friends.
Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband Angel and also by their cherished daughter Shauna. She is survived by Millie (Murillo) Cook and other numerous nieces and nephews. Special friends include Marlaina, Gerry, Ivar and Apolena Ditrich; Joan Curran and Arlene Curran and family and Henry and Cindy Suyker.
In lieu of floral tributes please consider a donation to the Last Chance Cat Ranch or a charity of your choice.
As per her wishes, a Private Service will be held.
