RICHARD ERNEST BURRIS
October 5, 1950 – February 4, 2024
Richard (Rick), beloved husband of 51 years to Violet (nee Heward) passed away on Feb 4 at the age of 73 at St Michael’s Palliative Care Unit after a lengthy and valiant battle with cancer.
Also mourning his passing are his 2 sons, Michael and Mark (Cristy) and the lights of his life, his grandsons Carter and Lucas, all of Lethbridge.
He also leaves behind his siblings Karen, Alvin (Shirley), Jim (Carol), Glen (Tess) and Alanna along with their families
A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825-32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Rick was the absolute best neighbour we could have ever asked for … always wanting to chat, help out whenever he could and lend a tool or some knowledge on any project. He looked out for our kids like a surrogate grandpa … reminding them to put on their bike helmets or letting them park at his place. When someone says salt of the earth I think of Rick. He will be forever in our hearts. All our love to Vi, Mark, Cristy, Michael, Carter and Lucas.
