TIMOTHY RYNOLD KARL 1961 ~ 2025 With deep sadness and love, the family of Tim Karl announces his passing on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Foothills Medical Centre, with his family by his side.
Tim was the beloved husband of Sandy for 41 years; devoted father to Cassy (Phil) and Corbin (Cindy); and proud papa to Lukas and Luna; He is survived by his loving parents Reinhold and Isobel Karl; his older sister Fran Thorson (predeceased by her husband Gerry); nephews Garrett and Craig; niece Amy Caufield (Greg). Younger sister Leslie Anne Larson (Kyle) and nieces Karly (Sarah); Kaylin (Kaden); Justine (George).
Tim dedicated 28 years to farming side by side with his father. Later, he brought that same hard-working spirit to the oil and gas industry where he worked for 16 years. Whether in the field or on the farm, Tim was known for his strong work ethic, steady hands and quiet integrity.
He was also a pillar in his small community, always offering his time and energy to better the lives of those around him. Whether volunteering at the golf course, helping out at the hockey rink, coaching local sports or stepping in to help with whatever needed doing. Tim led with his heart. His contributions to the community were countless.
Nothing brought him more joy than spoiling his kids, grandkids or his buddy Hank. He loved sharing stories and laughs over a game with a pop and chocolate bar.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Foremost Community Hall.
The family is starting an annual scholarship in honour of Tim’s lifelong commitment to community and service. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation to the scholarship. Details to follow.
Tim leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication and quiet strength. He will be forever missed and always remembered.

  2. Brenda May says:

To all of you we wish to send our sincere condolences.
I didn’t know Tim as an adult but knew him when we were kids. Growing up with Grandma & Grandpa’s store right next door it was easy to play together & Isabel & Reinhold’s house just down the alley. I remember the good times we had but also the trouble we got into. He always had a smile. I’m sure Tim was a good person & will be missed.
Sincerely Stan & Brenda May (Moss)

  3. Judy (Mastel) Gukert says:
