KING, Donna “Carol”

Posted: April 15th, 2025

KING DONNA (CAROL) KING passed away April, 3rd 2025. She fought to the very end, but now she may get that dance with Dad after all. It won’t be the last dance, but maybe the first of many more to come. Dad’s been waiting for Mom for quite some time! Turns out, Carol was a lover of ice cream and demanded it in her remaining days. Just ask Gibb, he’ll tell you. Mom always had a very big heart, and Linda will attest to that. I’ve heard in this last week from a few people that Mom was always so nice to them and would always greet them with a smile. It was time to go home and see all the people that predeceased her. Heard it was going to be a glorious reunion! Carol was predeceased by her parents Bertrel and Jerry Ball, her brother Earl (Bub), her in-laws Vivian and Owen King, and her loving husband Ted King. Carol is survived by her brother Jerrod Ball, children Tony (Sheila), Chandra (Scott) and Ted (Tracy). She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Carol attended Palo Verde College in Blythe, CA. She eventually went to BYU, where she met her future husband. They eventually ended up in Cardston where Dad took a teaching job. Mom had a love of books and was a librarian at CES for many years. She also worked at the Cardston Hospital for quite some time, ironically where she passed. Mom and Dad were highly involved in political campaigns, involved in her faith, where she and dad were both Temple workers and were involved in youth church activities. Carol was an amazing seamstress and did a lot of sewing for people in the community. She also made the best tacos and unfortunately invited the missionaries to partake as well. Carol passed with family and friends by her side. She will be dearly missed. Happy Trails! Good-Bye Grandma Blue Hair! A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday April 19 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cardston Alberta West Stake Center (846 1st Ave. West). Friends may meet the family from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment to follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond, AB.
