Bonnie Dell Nottingham, beloved wife of the late Ernie Nottingham, passed away in Lethbridge on Friday, June 13, 2025 at the age of 92 years.
A private funeral service will be held at Southland Funeral Chapel, Taber on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
Bonnie will be forever missed by her three daughters Lynne (Steven) Zundel of Raleigh, North Carolina, Sandra (Kevin) Cooper of Okotoks and Joanne (Darrell) Kuryvial of Taber; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
Bonnie was born on December 5, 1932 in Magrath to Dallas and Dagmar Minion. She attended school in Magrath and Warner. After completing her schooling, she continued her education at Garbor Business College in Calgary. Bonnie worked at the Coutts border crossing for HH Smith.
On February 2, 1952 she married the love of her life, Ernie Nottingham of Warner. Together, they farmed east of Warner, and raised three daughters. Bonnie was a kind, loving and hard-working mom. She loved helping dad on the farm and made many delicious meals over the years. She was a fantastic cook, and there was always some kind of baking on hand. Bonnie grew a beautiful garden full of every vegetable you could think of. She loved canning and had a storage room full of her creations. Bonnie was a very creative sewer, and made many beautiful outfits for her daughters to enjoy. She also crocheted afghans for all her girls, and every grandchild received a homemade blanket from her as well. Bonnie moved onto quilting, and with the help of dad, created many beautiful quilts for us to treasure.
Bonnie and Ernie travelled extensively in their retirement, and made so many friends along the way. Winters were spent in Arizona, and summers at their cabin in Swan Lake, Montana. They retired from the farm to Taber in 1986 where they continued to make new friends.
Rest in peace mom, we will miss you forever.
We would like to thank the staff at Extendicare Fairmont Park for all the wonderful care and love they showed to our mom. You are all angels!
