MANOLITO ESQUIVEL 1952 ~ 2025 Manolito Esquivel passed away on August 20, 2025, just 10 days after his 73rd birthday.
Born August 10, 1952 in Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines to Amaury and Loretta. He was the eldest of 5 children and survived by Ramoncito, Leonora, Lorna and Amaury Jr (Juhn).
He married his first love, Lilia on Sept 20, 1970. Along with his wife and his 3 children, he immigrated to Canada June 1976 where he began working for ITB in Coaldale. He worked there until 2000 where he then ventured into having his own business and purchased 5th Ave Cabs. He then later acquired a second business in 2008 owning Edo Japan and then opening a second location in 2009. Dad always said that this was for the future of all of his grandchildren.
In 2011, He sold 5th Ave shortly after mom passed.
Dad was lucky to find love again with Sheryl whom he spent the rest of his years with. Together they were blessed with a son named Manuelle.
Dad enjoyed fishing, hunting, crabbing, road trips and travelling. He loved spending time with his family. He taught us to be selfless and to always put family first. He demonstrated loyalty and dedication to his family, from learning how to do home dialysis for mom, working double jobs and opening a business to ensure all his grandchildren had something down the road. His love was truly unconditional.
Along with Manolito’s siblings, he is also survived by his wife Sheryl; children Michael (Chrysline), Melanie (Graham), Michelle (Arnold) and Manuelle, Ana and John (Zen); grandchildren Mahlia, Addyson, Gabriel, Anjelica, Madie, Maui, Ickan, Jerickson, Keiane, Toshi, Jona, Jovy and Toby.
Rest in Peace Papa, you will be in our hearts forever…
