BRILTZ, Mary
Posted: April 17th, 2026 MARY BRILTZ 1957 ~ 2026 Mrs. Mary Yvonne Briltz of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Kevin Briltz, passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Health Centre on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the age of 68 years.
Mary was born on May 31, 1957 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Lethbridge to Ovide and Yvonne Bourret. She was the fourth of nine children.
Mary and Kevin met in Foremost and were wed on November 16, 1974. She was blessed with three children: Robert, Carrie, and Notasha. Her care extended far beyond her own home as she provided childcare services to many and was the first to step forward when a loved one was in need.
Mary’s most cherished moments were spent surrounded by her family and friends. She never missed an opportunity to cheer on her grandchildren in their activities. She was their biggest fan! Mary was an avid golfer and bowler; she also loved playing Yahtzee and cards with her friends. Mary was a dedicated member of the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) in Foremost, where she put her faith into action.
Besides her loving husband Kevin, Mary is survived by her daughters Carrie Briltz and Notasha Borland (Mike); her son Robert Briltz (Jody); and her grandchildren Alexander Briltz, Celise Briltz, Alyssa Briltz, Kristen Borland, and Jordyn Borland. She is also survived by her sisters Doreen Robertson and Theresa Schmold (Andy); her brothers Bob Bourret (Torill), Ed Bourret (Susie), Andy Bourret (Colleen), Jim Bourret (FloMcKean), and Don Bourret (Melissa); her brother-in-law Rod Bollinger; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, Ovide and Yvonne Bourret; her sister Peggy Bollinger; and her brother-in-law Frankie Robertson.
Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2026, at ALL SAINTS ROMAN CATHOLIC PARISH, 2405 – 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Father Santiago Torres officiating. Mary will be privately laid to rest by her family.
