HOFER Our dear husband and father JEREMIAH P. HOFER, 58, passed away suddenly at home with family by his side on May 6, 2026.
Jeremiah was born in Raymond, AB to Peter and Katie Hofer on February 14, 1968. Jeremiah lived at OK Colony all his life. He married the love of his life Judith Kleinsasser on August 20, 1989.
Jeremiah’s family, his wife, four daughters and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. He called his grandchildren often and also kept in touch with his extended family. Jeremiah played the harmonica beautifully for his family’s enjoyment. While Jeremiah loved all of his family, he had a special bond with his daughter Rebecca.
In his younger years, his job in the colony was working in the hog barn and helping out wherever he could. Jeremiah had many health challenges through the years, but he kept a positive and loving heart despite it all. He truly had a heart of gold.
Jeremiah is survived by Judith, his wife of 37 years, four daughters Rosanna (Jonathan) Wipf, Rebecca, Tammy, Marlene (Tyson) Wurtz, six grandchildren Isaac, Jeremy, Isaiah, Juliann, Noah and Jonathan, mother Katie Hofer, sisters Ida Hofer, Nella (Dan) Hofer, Linda (Dan) Kleinsasser, brother Thomas (Heidi) Hofer, uncle Ben (Mary) Hofer. He is preceded in death by his father Rev. Peter P. Hofer.
A special thanks to Uncle Ben for being there for him throughout the years after his father’s passing. Dad, we will miss you dearly. May you rest in peace.
A Funeral Service will be held at the OK Colony, Raymond, AB on Sunday, May 10, 2026 at 11:30 A.M.
Following the service Jeremiah will be laid to rest in the OK Colony Cemetery.
