MASON, Florence “Flo”

MASON FLORENCE “FLO” ELAINE MASON, beloved wife of the late Cecil Fredrick Mason, passed away at St. Michael’s Health Centre in Lethbridge, AB on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the age of 80 years.
She is survived by her son Charles Mason of Calgary Alberta and her two daughters, Wendy Lee Mason of Kitchener, Ontario and Patricia (Trish) Darin of High River, AB, as well as six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her loving sisters, Alice (David “Buzz”) Bissonette and their four children: David, Walter, Robert, and Peter; Linda (John) Hay; Amber Anderson; and Molly (Jake) Mandel and her three children: Christopher, Jordan and Ashley.
Besides her beloved husband, Cecil, Flo was predeceased by her parents Isabel and Robert Mather; and her dear nephew Dale Evans.
Flo had a deep love for flowers and took great pride in her beautiful yard and garden, earning many awards over the years for her blooms. Some of her happiest moments were spent on the open road alongside Cecil while trucking, and together they shared a love for fishing, visiting with family and friends, and simply enjoying life’s adventures.
A proud Metis woman, Flo felt deeply honoured to serve on council and valued the opportunity to support and give back to her community. She was also a gifted crafter whose creativity and talent could be seen in many things she lovingly made with her hands.
Flo’s family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at St. Michael’s for the compassionate, attentive and wonderful care Flo received during her time there.
Flo will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed. Rest in peace, Flo.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Flo’s honor at the LETHBRIDGE ANNEX BUILDING (behind the Provincial Building), 909 – 3 Avenue North, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, From 10:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M.
