Hazel Ruth Lloyd of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at the age of 94 years. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Wayne (Joyce) Lloyd of Medicine Hat; two brothers, Fred (Elaine) Rensby of North Battleford and Richard (Marcy) Rensby of Denver, Colorado; one sister, Verna (Jacquis) Leask of North Battleford and a sister-in-law, Sue Rensby of B.C. as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Clara and Oscar Rensby; two brothers, Ken and Elmer; three sisters, Ella (Michael) Koshman, Myrtle (Pete) Rockvam and Osta (Jack) Freebury. Hazel was born on February 4, 1918 in Whitewood, Saskatchewan and raised and educated in the Battleford district. She was employed by Sterling Distributor in Saskatoon for over 30 years, retiring in 1983, at which time she moved to Medicine Hat. A memorial service will be held in North Battleford at a later date. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the S.P.C.A. – 55 Southwest Drive SW, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 8E8.     Hazel, you were the first person to welcome me to my new home. In the short time I knew you, I could see that you were a caring person and a loving soul. I remember you calling me a “young lad,” and you making me smile. I remember you thanking me for feeding the deer, and how you enjoy watching them. I wish we could have gotten to know each other better. I wish you could have tried my cheesecake. But you were taken from us, and I wish I could have done something. I wish I would have heard something, I wish allot of things. But most of all, I wish you were still here. Hazel, you were much loved here and will be missed by many. R.I.P. Hazel, and God bless you….
