Mr. Ronald “Ron” Sept, beloved husband of Mrs. Jacqueline “Jacquie” Goodine Sept of Medicine Hat, passed away after a brief illness with West Nile Virus on Thursday, October 4th, 2012 at the age of 66 years. Ron also leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Jamie (Dave) Fode of Medicine Hat; his mother, Anne Stahl; brother-in-law, Greg Goodine; stepsister, Marlene (Erwin) Smith, Karen (Carl) St. John of Minneapolis and Dawn Stahl; sister, Carol Kublik; one son, Wes Sept of Medicine Hat; his beloved 4 legged friend, Buffy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his father, Albert Sept; and his step-father, Ed Stahl. Ron was born in Medicine Hat, spending his early years raised on the family farm near Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. He moved back to Medicine Hat as a teenager. From there, as a late teenager he joined the Navy for 3 years and saw the world. Upon returning he worked numerous jobs before settling with CP Railway for 25 years. He was forced into early retirement due to health issues. Ron met Jacquie later in his life and passed away just prior to celebrating their 19th anniversary. Ron loved his music, karaoke, his pets, his coffee buddies, cooking and exchanging jokes and making people smile was how he spent his later years. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Wednesday, October 10th, 2012 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Thursday, October 11th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating.     We are so saddened to hear of Ron Sept’s passing. Our son contracted west nile a couple of years ago and barely survived. Our hearts go out to all the family. We hope and pray everyone will listen to the message the family is sending to everyone.

    Im so sorry for your loss, I met Ron at karaoke at the Chocolate Shop many years ago, sang some songs with him but just enjoyed his company. Ran into him leaving the Petro Canada restaurant earlier this year and he we chatted was great to see him again, he was a great man.
