EVA SCHULTZ

Posted: November 5th, 2012

Eva Margaret (Schaber) Schultz of Medicine Hat and formerly of Wetaskiwin, our much loved mother, granny and great-granny went home peacefully to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 1. She is now free from physical pain and rejoicing in heaven with loved ones. Mom was able to complete grade eight in primary education and graduated from British Columbia Bible Institute in 1944. In 1947, Eva married Walter Schultz and they enjoyed forty-four years of serving the Lord together. Mom was a wonderful homemaker and provider for her family. She enjoyed music, flowers, quilting, and crocheting. Each one of us has something of her handiwork to treasure. Above all, Mom loved the Lord and prayed faithfully for family and friends. The past six months have not been easy for Mom as her health deteriorated but there were no complaints heard. We will miss our mother, granny and great-granny very much but our many treasured memories will remain forever.
Eva will be remembered with love by her daughter Annette (Alvin) Dyck, children – Teresa (Craig) Learmont and Trudy (Michael) Bischke; her daughter-in-law Bev Schultz, daughter – Shannon (Jeremy) Rattai; her son Harland Schultz, children – Anthony (Vanessa) Schultz, Jason (Joyce) Schultz, and Elissa (Jonas) Martin; her son Ron Schultz, children – Janet (Daren) Dunford, Danielle Schultz, and Steven Schultz; fourteen great-grandchildren, two sisters-in- law – Louella Schaber and Mary Schultz, many cherished nieces and nephews and their families, and wonderful friends. Eva was predeceased by her husband Walter in 1991, her son Doug in 2001, her daughter-in-law Dayle in 2012 and her siblings. A celebration of Eva’s life will be held in the Wetaskiwin Full Gospel Fellowship Church 2 km west of Wetaskiwin on Highway 13 West (40 Avenue) on Friday, November 9 at 2:30 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Gideon Society of Canada or A.J.’s Loan Cupboard.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jeffrey Bratvold and the staff at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital for their compassionate care of our mother.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Baker Funeral Chapel. (780)352-2501 or (888)752-2501
