1922 ~ OLECHOWSKI ~ 2012

Barbara Dibble Olechowski passed away on Wednesday, November 7th, 2012, following a short illness, at the age of 90 years. She is survived by her children, Debra (Rod) MacLaine, Don (Susan Kelly) and Devona (Dale) Kaliel; ten grandchildren; one great grandson; as well as a large extended family. She was predeceased by her daughter, Dale; and her husband, Bill. A graduate of Olds School of Agriculture and Calgary General School of Nursing, “Mrs. O” was a Head Nurse at the Medicine Hat General Hospital until she retired in 1984. Following the cremation, there will be an interment and a memorial service at a later date in the family plot at Eagle Valley Cemetery, west of Olds, Alberta. Memorial gifts in Barbara’s memory may be made to the S.P.C.A., 55 Southwest Drive SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 8E8.     My sincere condolences to all of you! I so enjoyed your mom when she came into Golden Acres and the few visits I had to her house. She was such a strong woman, opinionated but in a good way, and always a pleasure to chat with!
