1933 ~ KALLENBERGER ~ 2012

Joseph “Joe” Jacob Kallenberger was born on the farm in Eagle Butte on July 6th, 1933 and passed away suddenly on Monday, November 12th, 2012 at the age of 79 years.

Joe was the fourth child of the late Jacob and Edith and was also predeceased by his sister, Alice Webb; his brother, Wally; his brothers-in-law, Bill Webb, George Sauer, Bill Campbell, and Roy Johnson; and his sister-in-law, Jannette Heather. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Norma; five children, Miles (Mary), Marie (Evan) Sailor, Bud (Cheryl), Linda (Gary) Pearce, and Nick (Laurie); nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Margret Campbell; two brothers, Lance (Marion) and Harris; brothers-in-law, Barney (Sharon) Heather and Peter (Deloras) Heather; sister-in-law, Betty Johnson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Joe’s Life will be held in SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Saturday, November 17th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating. A Private Interment will take place at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Joe’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.     I am so sorry for the loss of a wonderful husband and father. I have known Joe for so many years and every time we would meet it was like no time lapsed inbetween visits. Now to help your family get through the rough times just remember so many happy times that were spent with Joe, and smile.
