H.W. (BILL) BEACH 1929 ~ 2012

It is with heavy hearts that the family of H.W. (Bill) Beach, beloved husband of the late Gladys Mabel Beach, announce his passing while at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Sunday, November 11, 2012, at the age of 83 years.

Bill was born June 28, 1929 in Wisdom, Alberta, a son to August and Mary Beach.  He married Gladys on September 5, 1952.  A marriage that would last nearly a remarkable 60 years.  Bill liked to work with his hands and was quite a handyman building anything from birdhouses to more major projects like cabins and renovations.  He liked to travel and was a member of the Good Sam RV Club.  He enjoyed the outdoors including gardening, camping and of course…fishing!  Bill was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family.  Bill was the proud father to sons, Jerry (Ella), Tom (Wendy), Darcy and Ross;  grandfather to seven grandchildren, Kari (Neil) Mardian, Jodi (Joel) Macaulay and Jade, Brett, Taylor, Wyatt and Eryn Beach;  four great-grandchildren, Karli and Reesa Mardian and Jordyn and Maddox Macaulay;  brother, Roger (Vi); sister, Hazel (Frank) Simmons;  sisters-in-law, Marj Beach, Mary Wallace, Dorothy Patry;  brother-in-law, Leonard (Florence) Nelsen.  He was predeceased by his wife, Gladys on July 10, 2012;  an infant daughter, Elizabeth Ann;  parents, August and Mary Beach and brothers, Alvin and Earl Beach.  A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Kevin Johnston officiating.
