Jody Layne Nielsen of Bow Island passed away on Sunday, November 18th, 2012 at the age of 39 years. She leaves to cherish her memory the love of her life, Gerry Rak; three step-sons, Cody Rak, Brady Rak and Ethin Rak; her mother, Yvette Nielsen; two brothers, Laurie Tabert and Brian (Ada) Tabert; one sister, Shannon (Michael) Moleski; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jody was predeceased by her father, Peter Nielsen. Jody was born on March 10th, 1973 in Calgary. She was employed with Harley Davidson in the service department. Jody loved Harleys and will now be forever riding her Harley. She loved spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Jody’s life will be held at the BOW ISLAND GOLF COURSE, on Friday, November 23rd, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Memorial gifts in Jody’s memory may be made to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation, #124, 430 – 6th Avenue SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 2S8.     Jody was my baby sister and the outpouring of love for her at her Celebration of Life in the town of Bow Island was amazing! It is clear that she was well loved by all that knew her. We love her immensely, and she will be deeply missed!

    I just heard of Jody’s passing. I worked with her at Redline HD Saskatoon. She was a wonderful person. I will miss her a lot.
