1928 ~ 2012
It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of Mr. James Leroy Bennett, beloved husband of Mrs. Margaret Mary Bennett of Medicine Hat on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at South Country Village.  Jim will be forever thankful for the genuine care and attention he received while under the watchful eye and caring staff at the Haven of Rest.  He loved all the girls there.  Jim’s tireless work and support with the Bowl for Kids for the Big Brothers &?Big Sisters Association over the past 12 years will be treasured by those whom he knew.  He was also a longtime member of the Circle T – Toastmasters club earning him much respect and admiration.  Despite his ill health, he had a terrific sense of humor with practical jokes as  his speciality.  James leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Margaret; son, David in the Yukon; four step-children and two special cousins as well as numerous other family.  He was predeceased by his parents, Philip & Ollie Bennett; one brother and two sisters.  A Memorial Celebration of Jim’s life will be held at the Wuerfel Auditorium, South Country Village on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Bob Findley officiating.
