1979 ~ 2013
It is with profound sadness that the family of Christian Donald Schlaht, beloved husband of Crystal Lynn Schlaht, announce his sudden passing near Estevan, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at the age of 33 years.  Chris was born and raised in Medicine Hat attending Crescent Heights School and Graduating in Toronto.  He married the love of his life, Crystal Pendrack on November 12, 2010 in Las Vegas.  Chris loved quadding and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends relaxing and watching T.V.  He was a caring, loving husband and a father to Peggy-Sue.  Always respectful of his friends and never without a smile on his face.  Chris worked as an oil field consultant with NCS and formerly worked for Halliburton.  Most recently with his own company.  He will be forever treasured in the hearts of his wife, Crystal; children, Peggy-Sue, Dustan & Maja;  parents, Debora Lea Moerike & Rudy Schlaht;  siblings, Alan Hamilton, Justin Schlaht, Jenna Schlaht; grandparents, Don & Carol Moerike;  aunts and uncles, Cindy (Don) Hamilton, Cathy (Dennis) Doll, Irene (Dale) Plotsky; father-in-law, Barry Pendrak; brother-in-law, Marty (Leeann) Pendrak;  a nephew and numerous cousins.  Chris was predeceased by Christian & Amanda Schlaht.  A Celebration of Christian’s life will held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Greg Keen officiating.     My son ,Brendan had called me and asked if Chris had ever worked for me through NCS, Brendan,( my son) had just done a job down in Estevan, where they were on the same job , he had met Chris on the job.
    For us Chris’s death is reminder for us how fragile life is. We lost our son , brother in sept 8,2011 I can only say how very sorry we are for your lost
