ROBINSON

Clarence Robinson of Medicine Hat, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013, at the age of 91 years, beloved husband of the late Alice Robinson. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Edith (Ken) Eby, Terry (Pauline) Robinson, Brian (Christina) Robinson, Brenda (Emil) Heitrich; his stepdaughter, Elaine (Ian) Hill; twelve grandchildren; three step- grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; three step-great great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews; one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law. He was a very loving father and grandfather to us all. Clarence was predeceased by his loving wife Alice; his parents, Sam and Ella Robinson; his sons, Arnold and Kenneth (in infancy); a daughter-in-law, Marj Robinson; his older brother, James, his twin brother, Clayton; sisters, Ila Ehnes and Evyon Korth and a brother in infancy. On July 13, 1921 Clarence was born on the family farm south west of Etzikom and attended school from grades one to nine at the Etzikom School. He enlisted in the army in 1941 where he served 3 1/2 years overseas during World War II. When he returned home he worked for CPR for 3 1/2 years and then farmed with his dad for 34 1/2 years. He then moved to Medicine Hat where he worked for Gulf Oil Company for eight years and was involved with Good Sam RV Club for many years. Clarence and Alice travelled throughout Canada and the United States after their retirement. Clarence enjoyed camping, doing his wood working and when he wasn’t doing that, he was always seen with a T.V. remote in his hand. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Sunday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 – 12:55 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Betker officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Margery E.
