1920 ~ FOLK ~ 2013

Mr. Andrew Joseph Folk, beloved husband of Mrs. Anne Folk of Medicine Hat, passed away on Friday, January 18th, 2013 at the age of 92 years. Andrew also leaves to cherish his memory four children, Gerald (Edna) Folk of Regina, Douglas (Bernie) Folk of St. Albert, Allan (Gloria) Folk of Courteny, British Columbia and Yvonne Harder (Peter Leeming) of Medicine Hat; eight grandchildren, Steven (Tammy), Joelle (Ian), Angela (Daniel), Kim (Jamie), Sarah (Max), Heidi (Lonnie), Scott and Andy (Jenn); thirteen great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Andrew was predeceased by his parents, Clemens and Rosina Folk; one son, Arnold Folk; one daughter, Cynthia Wells; one granddaughter in infancy, Crystal Andreas; one brother; and three sisters. Andrew was born on May 13th, 1920 at Holdfast, Saskatchewan where he was raised and educated. He continued to live and farm in the Holdfast area before retiring to Medicine Hat in 1968. The Funeral Service will be held in SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Monday, January 21st, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Terry Olson officiating. A Private Family Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013.
