  1. Marilyn Herrmann says:

    To the family of Irene:
I worked with Irene at Sears many years ago in 1980/81 when I was a young college student. She took me under her wing and always had valuable advice and lessons. She was spirited, honest and above all, treasured her family. We worked together for just under a year but she made a lasting positive impact on my life. I share in your grief but hope you will find solace in your memories and the memories of others. That is a beautiful picture of her — exactly as I remember her!! My deepest condolences to you all

    Dear Karyn and Connie –
Time moves on and gradually the names of those we knew and enjoyed begin to appear in obituaries, provoking lots of memories and thoughts of days gone by. I’m sending warm sympathy to you as you grieve the loss of your Mom – always an energetic, interested and kind part of the communal parenthood back home. May you remember her with both laughter and tears. She was a good sport and taught us a lot.
