1929 ~ ANHORN ~ 2013

Mr. William “Bill” Anhorn of Medicine Hat, passed away on Friday, April 5th, 2013 at the age of 83 years. Bill leaves to cherish his memory a brother, Oster Anhorn, his twin sister, Alice Stickle and a sister, Frieda (Len) Gehring, all of Medicine Hat; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Emanuel and Katherina; Bill was predeceased by five brothers, Albert, Emanuel, Gottlieb “Gib”, Edwin “Eddie” and John. Bill was born at Hatton SK on April 28th, 1929. He began his employment with Medalta Potteries and after eight years moved to Safeway where he remained for the next thirty-five years until he retired. Bill will always be remembered for his wonderful singing voice and for being a hard worker. A friend to all, Bill will definitely be missed by his family. Graveside services will be held at SAAMIS PRAIRIE VIEW CEMETERY, 5160 Gershaw Drive SW, on Wednesday, April 17th, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Bob Findley, officiating. Bill’s family extend an invitation to a Come and Go Reception at SAAMIS FELLOWSHIP CENTER, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Wednesday, April 17th, 2013 at 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., for anyone wishing to visit with Bill’s Family. Memorial gifts in Bill’s memory may be made to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation, 124, 430 – 6th Avenue SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 2S8, or to the Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre, 666 – 5th Street SW, Medicine Hat, AB, T1A 4H6.     I am passing along my sincere condolences to the rest of Bill’s Family and as i look at his picture and remember all the good memories he gave me, I have truly lost one of the best friens I have ever had, and for that alone I will never forget you my friend and i hope where you are now that you are at peace. RIP
