Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Braun, beloved wife of the late Mr. Abram Braun and special friend to Alfred Olson, passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at the age of 74 years.  Left to cherish her memory are her five children; Richard Braun (Laurie Grady) and their three children, Jesse Braun, Alexandria Braun, Catherine Braun;  Peggy (Philip) Pauls and their four children, Joshua (Laurie)?Pauls and their family, Kaylin and?Raya; Amanda Pauls; Heidi (Dallas) Stobbe and their children, Elijah and Tyson; Rosalyn Pauls;  Carolyn Smith and her son, Shawn Smith (Rachelle Terry); Susan (Allen) Blue and their daughter, Ashlee Blue;  Dale (Suzanne) Braun and their son, Nigel Braun as well as four siblings, Freda, Peter, Violet, Larry and their families.  Mary was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Anne Hooge as well as three sisters, Annie, Joanie and Teana. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, June 7, 2013, between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. as well as on Saturday, June 8, 2013, starting one hour prior to the service.  A Celebration of Mary’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel on Saturday at 2:30 P.M. with Pastor Herb Bachler officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery with a time of fellowship thereafter in the Cook Southland Reception Center.  If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s name directly to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102, 73 – 7 Street S.E., Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 1J2.
