MATILDA TILLIE ULRICH

1926 – 2013 Matilda “Tillie” Ulrich of Bow Island passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at the age of 87 years after a brief battle with cancer, beloved wife of the late Wilbert “Bill” Ulrich.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Donna (Gordon) Roeder, Barry Ulrich and Blair (Tammy) Ulrich; five grandchildren, Gordon (Sherry) Roeder, Cameron (Cynthia) Roeder, Nicole (John) Buist, Curtis Ulrich and Jason Ulrich; six great grandchildren, Joshua Buist, Yashera Buist, Mayenn Buist, Shayla Buist, Seth Ulrich and Terra-Lynn Geisinger; two brothers, David (Verna) Franz and Sam (Joey) Franz as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Matilda and Gotlieb Franz; her husband, Bill Ulrich; six brothers and four sisters. Tillie enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting, playing games and cards and has always loved country music. Of her many jobs, she found working at the glass factory as a practical nurse the most fun and the most rewarding. Tillie will be remembered by those lucky to have known her. At Tillie’s request there will not be a funeral service. Cremation has taken place in care of the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME. A private interment in Queens Park Cemetery, Calgary will be held at a later date. In memory of Tillie, donations may be made to the Pleasant View Lodge, Bag 6700 Bow Island, AB T0K 0G0 or to the Bow Island and District Health Foundation, P.O. Bag 3990, Bow Island, AB T0K 0G0 or to the charity of one’s choice.
