Yvonne Slyk of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, July 13th, 2013 at the age of 51 years. Yvonne leaves to cherish her memory three children, Daniel (April) Slyk, Devon Slyk (Wendy Reid), and Jenny-Rae Slyk (Justin Cameron); four grandchildren, Trent and Jade Slyk, Maria Slyk, and Lincoln Cameron; her father, Christian Slyk; her mother, Ingrid Tornvig; three brothers, Lief Slyk, Alf Slyk, and Rick Slyk (Cindy Turner); two sisters, Sylvia (John) Qualtieri and Vera (Rod) Ellefson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held in SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Thursday, July 18th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Gary W. Goran officiating. Heartfelt condolences to the family. From the moment I met her, I knew Yvonne was a special woman and that feeling was reinforced each time I saw her. Take comfort from her strength and her love of life … She will live on forever in the smiles and laughter she shared so easily. RIP Yvonne
