Posted: July 24th, 2013

William “Dallas” Hillman of Burdett, Alberta, beloved son of Bill Hillman and Dixie Hillman, passed away on Saturday, July 20th, 2013 at the age of 29 years.

Dallas also leaves to cherish his memory one sister, Jessie (Rob) Haig of Medicine Hat and their son, Kord Haig; grandmother, Christina Hillman; grandparents, Peter and Mary Braun; many aunts and uncles, but he was very close to his Auntie Pat (Henry) Kielstra, Uncle Rod (Lori) Braun and Auntie Karen Kuntz; his cousins, Chrissy and Ally; his close friends, Kyle, Kirby, Ty, and Brendan; and his close cousins, Landon and Danny. Dallas was predeceased by his grandpa, Bill Hillman. Dallas had a Heart of Gold and his mom said he always wore his heart on his sleeve. His sister says he had the most amazing smile and gave the biggest hugs that were filled with love. And when he walked into a room he had the ability to light it up. He loved his Nephew Kord with all his heart. Dallas loved to be around his friends and family; but especially his Dad. Ever since Dallas could walk Dad would pack him up to go hunting and fishing. He was Dads little buddy. Dallas was famous for making the hugest camp fires and then having everyone gather around so he could do his fireworks show. He would go out of his way to help someone just to see them smile. Music was Dallas’s thing he always had music playing. The last couple of months he finally accomplished a goal he wanted for so many years. He started roping and riding and loved is so much. Dallas always wanted to be a cowboy and he finally was. A Celebration of Dallas’s Life will be held in the BURDETT COMMUNITY HALL, Burdett, Alberta on Thursday, July 25th, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Mark Borrows officiating. Dallas was always a very casual person and in his honor, the family requests that those attending the celebration of life be dressed casually. Memorial gifts in Dallas’s memory may be made to the Charity of One’s Choice.
