Posted: July 26th, 2013It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Maschio of Canmore, Alberta and recently Medicine Hat. She is survived by her children Phyllis (Burn) Chapman, Margie (Dan) Smith, Pat (Debbie) Maschio and Kathy (Clare) Rose; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; one sister; one brother and her longtime friend and companion, George Mandryk.We would like to thank the staff at Riverview Care Center for the wonderful care Mom received during her 11 months in Medicine Hat. We are grateful to those who cared for Mom in Emergency and Palliative Care.The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, July 18 2013 in Our Lady of the Rockies Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Canmore. In lieu of flowers friends wishing to remember Jean may make a donation in her memory to the Alzheimer Society, 401D-3 St. SE, Medicine Hat, AB, T1A OG8 or the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation, #124, 430-6 Ave SE, Medicine Hat, AB, T1A 2S8.
