He worked many jobs and found a good home working for the Alberta Government as a Transportation Officer for 35 years. Maureen and Gordon loved to travel and often packed up their trailer and journeyed to the Cypress Hills and British Columbia. For the past six years, they escaped the Canadian winter and travelled to Arizona. Gordon was often quoted as saying he loved being a snowbird, and for him, there was no better life than living in the warm weather there.
