1965 ~ 2013
Vincent (Vinnie) Edward Norris, beloved member of the Alfred Egan Home family, passed away in Bow Island on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at the age of 47 years.  Vinnie was born on October 20, 1965, in Edmonton, Alberta. He lived at home with his family until the age of 12 before moving to the Michener Centre in Red Deer, Alberta in 1997.  In 2008, Vinnie moved to the Alfred Egan Home in Bow Island, Alberta where he met many friends.  Vinnie’s claim to fame was that he was a “gentle giant” with a height of 6 feet 6 inches.  Vinnie had an infectious smile and eyes that could light up a room.  He enjoyed people and had a boisterous laugh if he found something amusing.  Vinnie loved getting out and seeing the sights.  He especially enjoyed the outdoors.  One of the highlights of his life was going to LG Barnes Camp located near Gull Lake, Alberta. Vinnie will be missed by all the friends and staff he made in Alfred Egan Home. The Funeral Service will be held at the Alfred Egan Home, 941 – 1 Street East, Bow Island on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating.
