Mrs. Anna “Ann” Bell, beloved wife of Mr. Ronald Bell of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, November 6th, 2013 at the age of 79 years. Anna also leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Garth (Greta) of St. Albert, Wesley of New Paltz, New York, and Sherry (Gianfranco) Dalla-Longa of Medicine Hat; her five grandchildren, Stephanie (Tobië) Laliberte, Serafina Dalla-Longa ( Luke Lundgard), Justine, Rebecca and Brooke Bell; two great grandchildren, Luca and Mateo; one brother, Valentine “Walter” (Victoria) Deis; one sister, Christina Dirk; two brothers-in-law, Jack Kuntz and William “Bill” (Shirley) Bell; four sisters-in-law, Anne Deis, Mae Deis, Rose Deis and Nellie Bischoff; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by her parents, Valentine and Elizabeth Deis; two sisters, Elizabeth (Exi) Sehn and Eva Kuntz; six brothers, Casper, Peter (Hattie) Adam, Joe (Eva) Frank and Tony; one brother-in-law, baby Bell. Ann was born near Fox Valley, Saskatchewan on the family farm and attended Oadas School before moving into Fox Valley and attending Fox Valley School. She then relocated to Medicine Hat where she met and married Ron Bell. During their nearly 61 years together they always treasured their time spent with their family during vacations each year as well as all of the other activities that the children participated in. After Ron’s retirement they enjoyed their cruises and other many trips to various parts of the world. Ann’s faith was always very important to her and she maintained a deep trust in God. The children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were always her pride and joy. Vigil Rites (prayers) will be said at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Monday, November 11th, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 1451 Strachan Road SE, on Tuesday, November 12th, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with Father Philip Le, celebrant. A Private Family Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Section at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Ann’s memory may be made to the Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre, 666 – 5th Street SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 4H6. Condolences may be sent through www.saamis.com or to condolences@saamis.com subject heading Ann Bell. Radio funeral announcement can be heard on Monday around 12:35 p.m. on 93.7 Praise FM.
