1923 ~ BURKE ~ 2013

Mr. Virgel Burke, beloved husband of Mrs. Elizabeth Burke of Medicine Hat, passed away on Thursday, December 19th, 2013 at the age of 90 years. Virgel also leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Bill (Teresa) of Liberty Lake, Washington and Gerry (Nella) of Costa Rica; five grandchildren, Jintana (Michael), J. Thomas (Jessica), Cheryl (Andrea), Natasha and Dylan; eight great grandchildren, Sharice, Jordan, Allyson, Jacob, Seth, Zach, Isaac and Abram; one brother, Patrick (Elna); very close family friend, Dave Shearer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Virgel was predeceased by his parents; and one sister. Virgel was born on April 8th, 1923 in Lacombe, Alberta. He met and married Elizabeth Reviczky on November 18th, 1957 in Great Falls, Montana. Virgel served his country in WWII. He loved baseball and hockey, which he also coached. Virgel was a model father and husband and was very dedicated to his family.
