Mrs. Shirley Ann Akerstrom, beloved wife of Mr. Jack Akerstrom of Medicine Hat, passed away on Tuesday, July 1st, 2014 at the age of 74 years. Shirley also leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Randy (Ardith) Akerstrom of Medicine Hat and their children, Kyle (Kayla) and Chantel and Darcy Akerstrom of Medicine Hat and his sons, Alex and Steven; two brothers, Barry Meyer of Medicine Hat and Merle Meyer of Calgary; four sisters, Joyce (Jack) Risling and Pam Meyer, both of Medicine Hat, Wendy Meyer of Edmonton and Wanda Forester of Vernon, British Columbia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Alice Meyer. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Saturday, July 5th, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. with Deacon Robert Rislingofficiating.
