Amelia Christman of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Emil Christman, passed away on Tuesday, July 29th, 2014 at the age of 94 years. Amelia leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Raymond (Gayle) Christman, Sophie (Arnold) Moch, and Shirley (Vern) Bitz, all of Medicine Hat; five grandchildren, Clyde (Debbie) Moch, Darcy (Lori) Moch, Lisa (Kevin) Perich, Joanell (Nelson) Hartling, and Christa (Wayne) Cornelssen; eleven great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; two brothers, John and Bill (Florence) Boettcher; two sisters, Emma Haag and Mary Fischer; one brother-in-law, Fred Flaig; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Amelia was predeceased by her husband, Emil Christman; her parents, Nathaneal and Martha Boettcher; three sons, Harvey, Marvin, and Kenneth; one brother, Fred Boettcher; one sister, Ruth Flaig; two brothers-in-law, Elmer Haag and Bill Fischer; and two sisters-in-law, Elsie Boettcher and Helen Boettcher. Amelia was a member of Victory Lutheran Church and was very devoted to her church and faith. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, reading, watching TV, doing jigsaw puzzles, playing tile rummy, baking and dining out. Amelia\’s family was very important to her and loved the time she spent with all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Amelia will be lovingly remembered by them all. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at VICTORY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2793 Southview Drive SE, on Saturday from 12:00 to 12:55 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at VICTORY LUTHERAN CHURCH on Saturday, August 2nd, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Diaconal Minister Lila deWaal officiating. A Private Interment will follow at Saamis Prairie View Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Amelia\’s memory may be made to the Victory Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 2793 Southview Drive SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1B 2H1.
