Rose Fauth of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Alexander Fauth, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday, September 14th, 2014 at the age of 89 years. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Jeanette (Jerry) Koch of Medicine Hat; five sons, Ron (Terry) of Calgary, Henry (Louise) of Saint John, New Brunswick, Len (Irene) of Medicine Hat, Rick (Carol) of Burstall, Saskatchewan and Joe (Paula) of Coleville, Saskatchewan; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one brother, Phillip (Mona) Baron; and sisters-in-law, Mina and Jane Baron. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Alex Fauth; her parents, Valentine and Monica Baron; two sisters, Tillie (John) and Monica; five brothers, Ralph (Mary), Ludwig (Aggie), Matt, Joe and John (Rose). Rose was born in Leader, Saskatchewan in December 14th, 1924. She attended Monmouth Country School. Rose married Alex January 1947 and together they raised six children. They farmed in the Burstall, Saskatchewan area, then moved to Hilda, Alberta and later to Richmound, Saskatchewan to farm. In 1967 they moved to Valjean, Saskatchewan where Alex bought grain for NM Patterson and Sons. They moved back to Burstall in 1971 where they farmed, Alex bought grain and they became the custodians for the Burstall School. Alex and Rose retired in 1985 and moved to Medicine Hat. Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Thursday, September 18th, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at HOLY FAMILY PARISH, 1451 Strachan Road SE, on Friday, September 19th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Philip Le, celebrant. A private interment will take place in the Roman Catholic Section at Hillside Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Rose\’s memory may be made to Alzheimer Society (Palliser Region), 401D – 3rd Street SE, Medicine Hat, AB, T1A 0G8.
