HAZEL PEDERSON

1947 ~ 2014
Hazel Mae Pederson, beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, left us unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at the age of 67 years.  Left to cherish Hazel’s memory is her beloved mother, Beatrice Pederson; son, Brian Larkin;  granddaughter, Elissa Larkin;   brothers, Arnold, Leonard and Brian; sisters, Miriam Herman, Anita (Garry) Runions and Bernice (Cory) Fode, as well as numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Hazel was born on April 28, 1947 in Rocky Mountain House. Throughout the years, she resided in many different communities before making Medicine Hat her home. Hazel worked for Canada Post for 25 years and in her retirement years, she enjoyed painting, drawing, playing piano and watching old movies. Hazel was very involved in her church and was always praying for people – even those she never knew.  She loved much and will be missed until we meet again! The Funeral Service will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Zinger officiating.  (Condolences may be forwarded by visiting our website at www.cooksouthland.com).
