1939 ~ SCHNEIDER ~ 2014

Ronald \”Ron\” Schneider, beloved husband of Heide Schneider of Redcliff, passed away on Tuesday, November 4th, 2014 at the age of 75 years after an extremely brief battle with lung cancer. Ron also leaves to cherish his memory his three children, Don Schneider (Rosemarie Dolejsi) of Medicine Hat, Kevin Schneider of Calgary, and Pam Schneider (Gerry Tessman) of Medicine Hat; six grandchildren, Alisha Schneider of Edmonton, Elizabeth Schneider of Medicine Hat, Madison Schneider of Calgary, Adam Schneider, Caleb Dolejsi, and Jared Dolejsi, all of Medicine Hat; two brothers, Ed (Ruth) Schneider of Bashaw and Mervin Snyder of Wetaskiwin; three sisters, Virginia (Paul) Stedel of Grande Prairie, Shirley Rieger of Medicine Hat, and Margaret Brackenbury of Wetaskiwin; as well as three nieces and three nephews. Ron was predeceased by his parents, William and Mary Schneider; his daughter-in-law, Theresa Schneider; one brother, Herb (Chrissy) Snyder; two brothers-in-law, Ken Rieger and Howard Brackenbury; and one sister-in-law, Irene Snyder. Ron worked at Dom Glass for 33 years and then at Deluxe Taxi for 15 years until his retirement. He had a love of Louis L\’Amour western novels and John Wayne movies and showed unwavering support for the Montreal Canadiens and the Medicine Hat Tigers. One of his favorite hobbies was carpentry. Ron will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, #1 Dunmore Road SE, on Saturday, November 8th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Diaconal Minister Lila DeWaal officiating. A Private Interment will be held at Redcliff Cemetery. Memorial gifts in Ron\’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, #102 – 1865 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 1Z8.     I had the pleasure of working with Ron at the glass factory and drive in his cab here and there. He was a great man and Always kind. Rest in Pease Ron.
